Man City and Argentina striker Sergio Aguero has broken 2 records in one match today. He broke Thierry Henry's Premier League record for most goals scored by a Foreign Player and also broke Alan Shearer's record for the most premier league hat tricks in one match.
Aguero scored his 175th, 176th and 177th Premier League goals as Man City put 6 past a hapless Aston Villa on Sunday.
Aguero scored his record-equalling goal, past Villa goalkeeper Orjan Nyland to put City ahead over Aston Villa.
Aguero scored his second and City’s fifth of the afternoon shortly after half-time, cutting in from the left and slotting into the bottom corner and scored his third a bit later.
He now's tops Alan Shearer for the most premier league hat tricks with 12 to his name.
Aguero now sits fifth in the list of all-time Premier League goalscorers, behind Frank Lampard, Andy Cole, Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer.
Victory for Manchester City will see Pep Guardiola’s side overtook Leicester City into second place and close the gap on Liverpool to 14 points.
Congratulations to Sergio Aguero on both his new records.
