Arsenal Defender To Have Medical Tomorrow Ahead Of Move To German Club.

Twenty two year old Arsenal defender, Konstantinos Mavropanos is set to leave the club on loan.

According to reports in Germany, the defender who has struggled to get into the first team since signing for Arsenal from Greek side, PAS Giannina on January 4, 2018, will undergo medicals at 1. FC Nunberg tomorrow, Monday, January 12, 2020.

Since his Premier League debut on 29 April, 2018 in Arsenal’s 2–1 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford, Mavropanos’ journey to the Arsenal first team squad has been filled with ups and downs. Most of the downs have been because of injury.

On October 2018, Mavropanos suffered a groin injury and was out until mid-December. He picked up another injury on May 12, 2019, keeping him out for several months.

The 6ft 4 inches centre back has made just 8 appearances for The Gunners and with the arrival of David Luiz from Chelsea in the summer of 2019, his chances for selection has further slimmed.

Several Arsenal youngsters have gone on loan since the beginning of this month. Highly-rated midfielder Emile Smith Rowe has joined Huddersfield Town while young striker Tyrecce John Jules joined Lincoln City till the end of the season.
