Uganda Journalists Association president who hosts former press secretary to the president also Museveni’s advisor Tamale Mirundi on NBS TV talk show commonly known as ‘One on One with Tamale Mirundi haji Kazibwe Bashir has reaffirmed his continued fight for Justice and equality as he moves on with all his investigative media programs on various media stations.

Kazibwe who was poisoned for a yet unclear reason claims that he has grown more stronger now after God’s grace to have a second chance to live. Haji Kazibwe who is still admitted to Agah Khan Hospital Nairobi says he will stick to Bobi Wine’s ‘Situka Tutambula’ song for continuity in his work.

“All praise is to the Almighty Allah under whose watch our protection and sustainance is derived. It’s by his Grace and Mercy that me and you are giving testimony to the countless blessings that come with being alive, for another day.” Haji Kazibwe said.

Kazibwe who is still battling to save his life at Agah Khan Hospital Nairobi is sent to return home he has told The Whisper Eye, that many people from his family to friends have supported him financial and morally which has helped him to be more stronger than before.

“Dear family, friends and fans, am saying this with a strong mind and spirit whose body has been taken to the edge of death only to be saved by the Master of our Destiny-Allah.” Mr. Kazibwe stated.

“It’s been 18 Excruciatingly painful days of coming face to face with death itself. The confirmed cause? Lethal Poisoning. Why? The doers will answer to their Lord. My Doctors at a Nairobi Hospital have advised that am to keep on medication for the next six months with a physical medical review and re-examination every month.” The journalist explained.

Mr. Kazibwe has also recalled the words that is believed that the late Norble Mayombo said before his death.

“‘These fools have killed me’ are words attributed to one of the gallant sons of Uganda whose life ended in a mystery.” Kazibwe remarked.

Mr. Kazibwe called upon all Ugandans that even when the times before them are very dark, never should they lose hope in what they believe in as a nation and as a generation: a free, just and progressive Uganda.

“At least we should be encouraged by the kiganda saying ‘Ekikute Obudde….kiributa'” he said.
The investigative journalist has also encouraged Ugandan Journalist not to give up with the role as a watch dog to the ‘unfair’ society they serve.

“To my colleagues in the media industry under UJA, this is another tough reminder of what is on the other side of our job, but we should never give up, since we all know that the pen is mightier than a gun, mightier than poison.” Kazibwe said

Mr. Kazibwe has applauded the role of Ugandan community in the Diaspora towards saving his dear life.

“I will until my last breath respect your courage and love towards those of us whose boots are on the ground. Uganda should feel proud of having a patriotic people in you. My loving family, thanks for all the care & support to see that am back to my feet, though am worried, but kindly take this: I ceased to be yours alone long ago, the world owns a share of me now. Our family is growing bigger And am now going further in the woods to pave a road for our nation’s next generation.” Mr. Kazibwe Explained.

Kazibwe who is also a presenter on Bukedde Fa Ma 100.5FM ‘Embuutikizi’on his popular investigative program ‘Ekiryatabaala’ has promised his listeners a new dawning immediately after medical clearance to resume work.

“The events sorrounding my life have made my resolute firm and high in spirit to stick to what matters most in my career as a journalist; Speaking truth to power, Speaking for the voiceless, Standing tall in nation transformation and building. Take these away and take my whole. You can never!!” He explained.

Kazibwe is eyeing to unseat Haji Mubarak Munyagwa in Kawempe South come 2021.
